Howard A. Burris III, MD, FACP

Howard A. Burris Dr. Burris is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. He has been with Tennessee Oncology since 1997 and practicing medicine since 1985. Dr. Burris comes to Tennessee Oncology from Brooks Army Medical Center and The University of Texas HSC in San Antonio.

Dr. Burris is a West Point Graduate. He attended medical school at The University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Burris specializes in drug development, experimental therapeutics and breast cancer. He holds membership in ASCO, SAO, ACP, and ASIM. Dr. Burris is the Director of Drug Development for The Sarah Cannon Research Institute, is a member of the ASCO Ethics, Clinical Practice and Program Committees. He is a board member of Gilda's Club and Past-President and Trustee for The Southern Association of Oncology and Editor of The Oncology Report.

Dr. Burris sees patients in our Centennial Medical Center Office.
