Dr. Gray is from Oak Ridge, Tennessee and board-certified in radiation oncology. Education includes a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Tennessee and M.D. from Vanderbilt University. His graduate training in radiation oncology was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. After serving as a medical officer for the United States Navy at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, including appointments with the National Cancer Institute and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, he returned to Tennessee in 1994 to practice medicine. He has been with Tennessee Oncology since 2008.
His primary field of interest is prostate cancer, including radioactive seed implants. He primarily sees patients at Centennial Medical Center. He holds memberships in the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The American Society of Clinical Oncology, The American College of Radiation Oncology, and The American Brachytherapy Society.
He has been recognized by the American Cancer Society with a Fellowship in Clinical Oncology in 1999, the John C. Tune Award in 2005, and the St. George National Award in 2006.
Outside interests include boating, water skiing and snow skiing with his family.
