Dr. Hemphill is board certified
in Internal Medicine and has
been in practice since 2002.
He joined Tennessee Oncology
in 2009. Dr. Hemphill completed
Medical School at Quillen
College of Medicine at East
Tennessee State University
after obtaining a BS from
Emory University. He completed
his residency and served as
Chief Resident at the University
of New Mexico. He completed
his Oncology and Hematology
Fellowship at Wake Forrest
University. Dr. Hemphill also
holds a Masters degree in
Public Health from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill.
Dr. Hemphill specializes
in all adult malignancies
but has special interest
in gastrointestinal, breast
and lung cancers. He holds
memberships in the American
Society of Clinical Oncology,
American Society of Hematology
and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical
Honor Society. He holds the
following honors: University
of New Mexico Intern of the
year (’02-’03),
Resident of the Year (’04-’05),
and Teacher of the Year (’02-’03).
Dr. Hemphill sees patients
at the Summit
office and
at the McMinnville office.
