M. Brian Hemphill, MD

Dr. Hemphill is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine and has been with Tennessee Oncology since 2009

Dr. Hemphill completed his Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at Wake Forest University. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from Emory University. He completed his medical school at East Tennessee State University and holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina. He completed his Residency at the University of New Mexico, where he subsequently served as the Chief Resident for University Hospital and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. During his Residency, he was voted Intern of the Year, Senior House Officer of the Year, and Teacher of the Year.

Dr. Hemphill is a member of AOA, ASCO, and ASH. He specializes in all adult malignancies, but has special interest in gastrointestinal, lung, and breast cancers.

When away from the office, Dr. Hemphill enjoys spending time with his family, playing the piano, hiking, travelling, skiing, and playing soccer.
