Amy Johnson, Ph.D.

Dr. Johnson is a licensed psychologist specializing in psychological issues related to cancer diagnosis, treatment, and long-term survival. Dr. Johnson joined Tennessee Oncology in 1999 and has been in practice since 1992. Dr. Johnson comes to us from The University of Tennessee and previously worked at Cane Creek Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to becoming a psychologist she was a registered nurse and worked in surgical, medical, obstetrical, and public health settings.

Dr. Johnson obtained her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky and she also holds a Masters Degree in community counseling from Tennessee Tech University.

Dr. Johnson holds membership in the American Psychological Association, The Tennessee Psychological Association and the Society of Behavioral Medicine. She is also listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers.

Dr. Johnson sees patients at our Summit Medical Center Office, Skyline Medical Center Office, and our Murfreesboro Office at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
