Dr.
Liggett is board certified in Medical Oncology/ Hematology, Internal
Medicine, and Dental Medicine. Dr. Liggett has been with Tennessee Oncology
since 2000 and practicing hematology and oncology since 1997. Dr. Liggett
comes to us from The Lexington Clinic in Lexington, KY. He has also
been a faculty member at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center.
Dr.
Liggett completed medical school at Harvard Medical School. He also
obtained two additional doctoral degrees while at Harvard. His internship
and residency in internal medicine were done at Washington University
in St. Louis. He completed a one-year fellowship in Hematology and Oncology
at Washington University followed by three additional years of fellowship
training at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr.
Liggett specializes in medical oncology, head and neck cancers, mucositis,
hematology and cancer genetics. Dr. Liggett holds memberships in the
American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Clinical
Research and American Society for Hematology.
Dr.
Liggett sees patients in our Skyline Medical
Center Office and our Springfield Office at Northcrest Hospital. When away from the office Dr. Liggett enjoys
snow skiing, long distance running, swimming and marine aquaria.
