Dr.
Mainwaring is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine
and has been with Tennessee Oncology since 2001. Dr. Mainwaring comes
to us from The University of Florida in Gainesville where he worked
as an Assistant Professor of Hematology/Oncology. His Fellowship and
Residency were also done at University of Florida after his M.D. and
Ph.D. in Biochemistry were achieved from Wayne State University.
Dr.
Mainwaring's areas of interest include treatment of Refractory Acute
Leukemia and Brain Cancer. He holds memberships in the American Society
of Clinical Oncology, The American Society of Hematology and The American
Association of Cancer Research. Dr. Mainwaring has been the chairperson
of the Subcommittee for Clinical Investigation and has had the honor
of being awarded a VA Career Development Award.
Dr.
Mainwaring sees patients at the Murfreesboro Office and Shelbyville Office. When away from the office Dr. Mainwaring enjoys
golf, fishing, gardening, pottery and swimming.
